I guess there is some problems with joomla 1.8
When adding this filter to the sidebar , so the LAsteViewedJobs title , and Home title disappears.

Something wrong here?? I tried to fix , but did not succeed.

Maybe you can answer and help please??

My jobberbase is basically for RTL – right to left languages, it is nota big deal , just mirroring every thing.

However adding what you explained give me the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_seo_title() in C:\xampp\htdocs\jobberbase\page_advancedsearch.php on line 12

I believe that in your last step:

Finally, open up your config.php file and add this at the end of the require_once class list:

// advanced search
require_once ‘_includes/class.AdvancedSearch.php’;

I could not know where this config.php located . Made a search foun 2 files in this name.
Also where to paste exactly?? could not understand

Hi,

i want this features.

1. is it possible that only registered users can apply for jobs ?.

Since there are no accounts on jobberbase, this is not possible
out-of-the box. But it’s possible to extend the functionality and add
some code that does just that.

2. can i integrate the user database with joomla database ?

As mentioned above, there are no user accounts in jobberbase. So you
could use the joomla db directly, with some code in jobberbase to
support it.

3. can i maintain separate account for employers? ( To post jobs )

Doable, but not out-of-the-box.

4. need to add few fields in jobs?

Making this work for version 1.9 requires the following changes (please note, I have not refactored

any code, all changes are merely additions to the existing code.

The step numbers refer to those listed in the post.

#3 – If you have changed the name of the ‘jobs’ table
before: ALTER TABLE `jobs` ADD `bitly` VARCHAR( 100 ) NULL;
after: ALTER TABLE `[your table name]` ADD `bitly` VARCHAR( 100 ) NULL;

#4 – Add APP_PATH to this line:
before: require_once ‘_includes/bitly.php’;
after: require_once APP_PATH . ‘_includes/bitly.php’;

#5 – Add DB_PREFIX to these lines:
before: $sql = ‘SELECT bitly FROM jobs…
after: $sql = ‘SELECT bitly FROM ‘.DB_PREFIX.’jobs…

before: $sqlu = ‘UPDATE jobs SET bitly…
after: $sqlu = ‘UPDATE ‘.DB_PREFIX.’jobs SET bitly…

#6 – Add URL_JOB to this line:
before: $joburl = BASE_URL . ‘job/’ . $id . ‘/’;
after: $joburl = BASE_URL . URL_JOBS .’/’ . $id . ‘/’;

#7 – Add URL_JOB to this line:
before: $joburl = BASE_URL_ORIG . ‘job/’ . $id . ‘/’;
after: $joburl = BASE_URL_ORIG . URL_JOBS . $id . ‘/’;

To kick this feature up a notch, I’m going to try to introduce the Twitter API into this code for an automated Tweet of every new job posting.
